Court of Moravia Representatives

Veronika “Lothmíril” Frankovská — a larp organizer, member of the CoM Civil Association

Veronika Frankovská became member of the Court of Moravia in the winter of 2009, yet she has reveled in the event management since 2006.

She has participated in larps during last years, mostly as a player, even though she made several organizing attempts. More than by actual larp-making, she’s being fulfilled by the organizational side of the players’ meetings. Recently, she’s been studying international relationships at the Faculty of social studies, Masaryk’s University.

In larps, she’s being attracted mainly by the strong inner experience, real emotions and dramatic enactment. In organizing, the best part for her is the strengthening of the social bonds between players and even organizers themselves.

She would like to help larps become a common and widespread alternative of past time activities.

She gave away about herself:
I swim through life with idealistic dream about breaking through and riding in a Lamborghini. I like spontaneous plans, unconventional ideas and challenges.

Pavel “Lischai” Gotthard — a larp organizer, member of the CoM Civil Association

He has been a member of the Court of Moravia since the spring 2007, he is a larp organizer and a larp game author.

He has been devoting his time to role-playing games over five years, last two years he has been concentrating on the feeling and experience of the game. He has been studying Dramaturgy and Scriptwriting at the Theatre Faculty of the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno since 2006. He has been participating larp games since 2005 and his organizing activities have begun with his membership in the Court of Moravia.

His activities as a CoM memeber concern scriptwriting for the larps and specify the literary background for the games. He prefers chamber larps and theatrical approach to the role. He believes that every larp should seek to express a serious thought and give the players new points of view on the world around them.

He gave away about himself:
When I feel happy, I actively devote my time to school and scriptwriting. When I feel sad, I write short stories or run away from the sadness towards people. I like smart movies, the autumn, forsaken places, a rain, Jan Skácel (a Czech poet) and smiling people.

Pavel “Lorgan” Hamřík — a larp organizer and graphic designer, member of the CoM Civil Association

Lorgan, as a CoM memeber creates and organizes larps since the very beginning of the association, and he was present at the birth of the Civil Association. Furthermore he manages to create the visual presentation of the Association and his own games.

He has been devoting his time to role-playing games for five years, role-playing games in general a few years more. He supports the larp propagation for the public and role-playing games development as a form of common leisure time activity. From the author point of view, he prefers larps with a strong role position in a setting of elaborated and gripping story, which covers the entire game with logic. He prefers to set his games to the present, but he is not afraid to enrich it with elements of supernaturality or with situations sharpely different from the common human experience.

He gave away about himself:
Mostly I devote my time to graphic designing in various, most frequently commercial, forms. I like to create weird musical compositions that express my desire to do things my own way and therefore they oscillate on a wide range of music genres. I like ancient architecture and modern literature.

Štěpán “Arek” Hruda — a larp organizer, member of the CoM Civil Association

He joined Court of Moravia in the winter of 2009. He’s been playing larps since 2007 and role-playing games in general for five years longer.

As an organizer, he sees the creative focus in games, that are well-prepared to enable player to immerse with his role easily and thus to amplify his enjoyment.
His cups of tea are the games set in 20th century or near future with appropriate atmosphere. He sees a great potential in games using modern technologies.

He would like to move larp to the place of a common active entertainment.

He gave away about himself:
My dream is to travel the world, preferably in my very own luxury yacht. It might be because of this dream that I study economics. In fact, I am quite successful – I started with nothing and still have most of it.

Jana “Lorelei” Jevická — a larp organizer, member of the CoM Civil Association

Jana Jevická actively participates in the Court of Moravia since 2006. She is involved in the organization of chamber larps focused on the role-playing experience of the players.

When leading and planning the larps she endeavours to enrich the games by adding new elements which facilitate accepting and maintaining the role for the players. She has experience with leading young people towards theatrical works by the form of the collective cooperation.

This year (2007) she successfully graduated as a Bachelor in the field of study of Dramatic Arts at the Theatre Faculty of the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno, which is directly concentrated on working with non-professional actors and using the game methods for the personality development and education.
In her free time she leads children´s theatre ensemble and from time to time she organizes workshops for larp players, where they can be helped with creating their characters and playing them.

She gave away about herself:
Recently, my biggest hobby is furnituring the new apartment and planning the future. I like long walks around forests, full moon, strawberries with milk and a William Saroyan novel Tracy´s Tiger.

Anna “Ester” Miklasová — a larp organizer, member of the CoM Civil Association

Anna joined Court of Moravia in the spring of 2008, however, she’s been organizing larps since 2003.

She was introduced to larps indirectly via Scout organization, where she was a guider for eight years. She is still involved in organizing scout summer camps. At the moment she studies pedagogy at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University.

She sees an opportunity to try a different point of view at the world and a possibility to experience situations which may be difficult or dangerous in real life in larping. Role playing thus usually lets her discover more of herself. She likes to give space for creativity to players, but when creating the setting she prefers extensive use of source materials such as books and historical references from the period which inspired the game. In larps she tries to create a complex and consistent system which works without outside organizer´s interference.

She would like to contribute to the improvement of using the potential of larps in the area of education.

She gave away about herself:
I like to meet people and test the boundaries of possibilities. Amongst others I was greatly influenced by Joisten Gaarder.

Antonín “Smejko” Novák — a larp organizer, member of the CoM Civil Association

He joined the group in the spring of 2008. He plays role games, especially larps, for over six years and organizes them for about a year now.

He likes all forms of larps but mostly prefers those which emphasize roleplaying immersion and confrontation with others. He places emphasis on atmosphere and connections between players´ roles and game setting. His favorite setting is modern age with elements of mystery.

He sees an opportunity for a better larp experience in employing modern technologies and technics.

He gave away about himself:
I like programming and the company of other people. My favorite saying is that nothing is impossible.

Petr “Jezevec” Pouchlý — a larp organizer, the chairman of the CoM Civil Association

His activities as a CoM memeber concern the chairmanship of the organization and larp instructor from the very founding of the association.

He has been concerned with storytelling and creation of role-playing games for more than 13 years. From 2003, he actively engages himself in larp organization, holding gaming meetings and other organized leisure time activities with young people. During the time of his activity in the Court of Moravia he attempts to open the larp scene and to give publicity to the term LARP to the public masses.

Although he enjoys the actual larp creating, dramaturgy and scriptwriting, his task in the Court of Moravia is the genereal coordination, the inner team management and public relations. When creating larps, he aims to work with the new approaches and new impulses and to hold every action in a different style. He prefers larps focused on the complex story, interpersonal relations and immersing of players into their roles. In future, he would like to concentrate on topics which are considered controversial by present society.

He gave away about himself:
I am a telecommunication adviser and I devote my free time to storytelling, mainly RPG of the horror genre, building my family dwelling and white rat breeding. I like trips to the countryside, sightseeing (castles and strongholds) and hardcover books. I see the world in colours.

Jiří “Gekon” Zlatohlávek — a larp organizer, member of the CoM Civil Association

He participates in the Court of Moravia since spring 2007, mostly as a larp author and organizer. He has been devoting his time to role-playing games and storytelling for approximately six years and last three years he has concentrated on actual larps more intensively.

When creating and playing a larp he prefers the strong position of the role and of the atmosphere, and his favourite genres are horror and modern mysticism.

He sees the future of larps in the propagation of the role-playing games and in the accessibility of public masses to larps; for the field of larping he would like to improve the larp backgrounds and head towards larps that are designed for particular and interesting locations.

He gave away about himself:
Some day, when a fortune will fall from the clear sky into my lap, I will buy myself an old house somewhere at the seaside and there I spend the rest of my days, sitting in an armchair with a pipe and a book.
